Valentine's Day
Woman Gives Her Husband the Ultimate Valentine's Day Gift
Each year, in the days before Valentine's Day, there are people who struggle to decide what to get or do for their significant others. As soon as one Florida woman realized that she could help save her husband's life, she did not hesitate for one second to give him a priceless gift- life.

Melissa DeGeso-Jones had her kidney transplanted on Monday at Florida Hospital in Orlando to her husband, James Jones, who has been suffering from renal failure. Although many are impressed with Melissa's actions, including the surgeon who performed the procedure.

"Melissa is making the rest of us look bad," Dr. Giridhar Vedula said. "Most of us buy an expensive box of candy and call it a day, but this girl is just something phenomenal."

Melissa doesn't quite see it that way.

"(I’m) giving as much love as I have," DeGeso-Jones said before the surgery. "It's completely from my heart. James has said things to me about it being a huge sacrifice, and I said, 'It's not; it's an investment. This is our life. It's not just your life that I'm giving, too. There can't be an ‘us’ without it.' So, that's what it's about."

Of course, James is appreciative of the transplant, but knows that it'll be tough to match his wife's gift.

"It's one of those things where I'll continue to reciprocate this for the rest of my life, because you'll never be able to give her anything that's going to be able to match life,'' James said.

If this story doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will. Here's another interesting fact: the couple met two years ago, on Valentine's Day!
