Singapore Taxi Driver Returns $900k Left by Passengers

News networks report hours of bad news on a daily basis. It makes sense to a large extent, because bad things happen everyday. However, good things happen as well, and it's refreshing to hear about them.

Have you ever left valuable items somewhere, ad when you checked back in hopes of retrieving them, they were nowhere to be found?

Yeah, that's happened to me a few times. That's because usually some dirtbags steal them. The last time it happened to me, I figured out who stole my item and got it back. We'll leave it at that.

For a couple in Singapore, stealing wasn't part of the scenario, thanks to an honest taxi cab driver.

The couple took a cab and left one of their bags in it. The driver, Sia Ka Tian, later found it, opened it, and discovered $1.1 million in Singapore dollars. This translates to $900,000 in American money.

Wow! He could have purchased a Lambo with that money, or booked a nice vacation, but he did something better- he returned the money to the owners.

"The money is unimportant to me," Sia Ka Tian said.

"It doesn't belong to me, so how can I use it?"

The driver received an undisclosed cash reward from the grateful couple, and he will be given an award from his company.
