Student Knocked Out by a Falling Mattress

I guess he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

College freshman, Jesse Scott Owen, is back to normal after being knocked unconscious by a falling futon mattress in lower Manhattan.

Owen was on his way to class when he suddenly lost consciousness.

He says he woke up and people were putting him on the mattress, telling him that he got knocked out by it.

Bystanders say the mattress fell 30 stories from a nearby roof and landed directly on his head leaving him unconscious.

Owen was rushed to a hospital and treated for neck and back pain. He describes the incident as "pretty absurd."
