Lexus Previews New IS With LF-CC Concept

Lexus has unveiled a major project ahead of the 2012 Paris Auto Show by showing off a jaw-dropping new coupe concept that previews the styling aim of its next-generation 2014 IS and heralds a new coupe model. Called the LF-CC, the new concept showcases the latest evolution of Lexus’ L-finesse design and spindle grille and has already been confirmed for production.

As the images confirm, the LF-CC’s grille is the most aggressive variation of Lexus’ spindle design ever. Framed by the hood’s leading edge, the deep lower spoiler and projecting front fender tips, the grille mesh is encased in a deep, metal-finish surround and takes on a very aggressive form.

The bodywork is similar to the LFA supercar, while at the rear, inspiration from the previous LF-LC concept is evident. The lights are all LED units.

With the new LF-CC already confirmed for production, and a second, high-end sports concept set to debut at the 2012 Australian Motor Show next month, performance fans have a lot to look forward to.
