Truck Driver Receives a $4,600 Ticket

Amer Meqdadi, 32, was parked illegally in a Carlisle shopping center and received a $4,600 parking ticket.

Meqdadi received the ticket after police found out he was responsible for an accident in the parking lot as well as other violations.

The vehicle was spewing out motor oil and antifreeze after he hit a pole in the parking lot. Officers also found an outdated log book, a false record of duty, and tire violations that placed the truck out of service and required that it be towed.

According to police, Meqdadi admitted he struck the pole the night before and failed to report the accident.
