Fugitive Sees Mugshot On Police Station's Facebook Page, Writes 'Catch Me If U Can'... Guess What Happens Next?
If police are looking for you, it's probably not a good idea to taunt them. You're just going to make them want to catch your a-- sooner rather than later.
Taunting is EXACTLY what one U.K. fugitive did, and what happened next will make you laugh.
A police station posted the man's mugshot on its Facebook page. The fugitive noticed it and wrote a comment on it from his personal account: "Catch me if u can."
LOL... smooth move, buddy.
Within 24 hours of the post, the fugitive, 19-year-old Sam Greenwood, was found and arrested. I guess they can catch him.
Inspector Umer Khan, who runs the department's Facebook page, told NBC that readers were commenting supportive messages about the Greenwood. So, after arresting him, Khan replied to everyone with a Monopoly reference.
Greenwood was arrested in January for a driving infraction and served four months at the Young Offenders Institute. He later skipped appointments for probation and broke other rules, which got the attention of the police.
