False Alarm
Bill Cosby Involved in Another Death Hoax
Bill Cosby is alive and well, but the comedian was the focus of a celebrity death hoax on Monday.
I'm glad I was unaware of the hoax or I would have been upset. I think Bill Cosby is awesome and hilarious!
Rumors began spreading that the famous man had died when an "R.I.P. Bill Cosby" Facebook page was created, driving Twitter users crazy.
Fans worried that the former "Cosby Show" star had passed away, but they were quickly relieved when tweets started being posted declaring that reports Cosby had died were untrue.
On Tuesday, E! News confirmed that the 73-year-old actor was alive and mentioned that this is at least the second time that Cosby has been declared dead via Twitter. Additional reports claimed this is the star's fifth death hoax.
I think hoaxes based on deaths are generally not funny and some of the people that start them need to get lives (no pun intended).
