Russian Firm Builds Bullet-Proof Hyundai
In recent years, I've gained respect for Hyundai. Their cars have gotten more luxurious and powerful. There is no doubt that they are popular.

The large Hyundai Equus caught my eye when it came out. I was impressed with the car's features and size, and the thought of owning one crossed my mind.

I never thought of having a bulletproof Equus. The team at ArmorTech did.

I wouldn't mind rolling like 50 Cent, who has spoken highly of his bulletproof vehicles.

ArmorTech, the Russian experts at building armored cars for politicians, industry leaders and anyone else demanding increased security for their vehicles, are announcing today the new Hyundai Equus Limousine Security.

The vehicle will be on display at the 2012 Moscow Auto Show starting this Friday, and has been developed together with German armored car firm Stoof International.

Similar to ArmorTech’s previous works, including one of the world’s only stretched Bentley Mulsannes, the Hyundai Equus Limousine Security features a lengthened body, measuring in at 17.9 feet.

Engineered to VR7 ballistic protection, the vehicle features protective elements all over, including in key areas such as the door gaps. Here a special material overlaps the doors under the vehicle’s skin, helping to protect passengers from blast projectiles and splinters.

There’s also an additional battery, fire suppressant system, breathing air filters, reinforced door hinges, a reinforced fuel tank with self-sealing protection, and an advanced communications system.

No one can screw with you if you're driving this thing.

Due to all the modifications, the vehicle weighs 8,500 pounds.

The car is powered by the stock 5.0-liter V-8 engine, which is rated at 429 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque.

If you are famous, require high security for other reasons, or simply have paranoia, this is the car for you.
