Sitch News Makes Cannolis at Rivolis
Last week the Sitch News team visited Rivoli's in Howell, New Jersey for National Lasagna Day.
But what about dessert?
Our all-time favorite dessert, hands down, is a classic cannoli. We decided to head back to Rivoli's to learn how to make these glorious pastries ourselves.
Once again, with us in the kitchen we had Frankie 'Stylze' Sorrentino, Linda Sorrentino, and Tony Rivoli himself. We were also lucky enough to be joined by Tony's partner, Lorraine, who was kind enough to take us through all of the steps involved in making a cannoli.
Between their two locations in Toms River (781 Fischer Boulevard) and Howell (8 Ramtown Greenville Road), Rivoli's produces approximately 400 cannoli's every week.
"Holy cannoli" seems appropriate! It's easy to understand why they have t-shirts that read, "Rivoli's Rivoli's where you can get cannoli's!"
It's no surprise that our cannoli's turned out absolutely delicious, as Lorraine is Rivoli's cannoli expert.
For more information about Rivoli's, visit their website here.
And if you can't make it to the restaurant to try one of their famous cannoli's, this video will teach you how to make them at home.
Enjoy!
