Snoop Dog Goes Reggae and Changes Name to Snoop Lion
After a thirty-five-day trip to Jamaica, Snoop Dogg has decided that he's sick of rapping.
So he is just going to retire?
No. He's going reggae.
"Reggae was calling ... it's a breath of fresh air," he said. "Rap isn't challenging; it's not appealing."
I know that's hard to believe, especially for all of my west coast hip-hop fans, but the ridiculousness doesn't end there.
Snoop is convinced that he's Bob Marley reincarnated, and has changed his name to Snoop Lion.
Lmao. I think Snoopy D-O-double-G had a little too much to smoke during his trip!
Anyway, he experienced an enlightenment that now makes him more grateful for his loved ones. At least some good came out of this.
"He said that in Jamaica, where he stayed for 35 days, he grew closer to his wife, who saw his transition. He added that he's excited to perform music that his family and children can listen to.
I'm happy for Snoop being happy, and I really dig his raps, but he's lost his mind (probably literally)!
With such an established reputation in the hip-hop world, it's going to be hard for people to look at him with this style. I see his idea crashing and burning.
