Nail Swag DIY: Metallic Splatter
I love love love metallic nail polish, and what would be better than a way to combine them all into one beautiful work of nail art?
I love this splatter look because while it looks simple, it comes together in a magical way.
All you need is a base and top coat, metallic nail polish and some saran wrap! Polish You Pretty gives us the steps to achieve the look:
Step 1: After applying a base coat, paint nails 2 coats of Essie – No Place Like Chrome. The Mirror Metallic collection is now out, see our full collection review here.
Step 2: Rip off a small piece of saran wrap and crunch into a ball. Drab a little pool of your first shade, Kleancolour – Metallic Aqua on a scrap piece of paper and dip saran wrap ball into it. We found it best to do the first couple applications on the scrap piece of paper, so the polish isn’t too heavy on the nails. This way it leaves a lot more room for other shades.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 using Kleancolor – Metallic Fuschia. Try to drab polish in opposite areas of your first shade.
Step 4: Repeat Step 2/3 with your final shade Kleancolor – Metallic Orange & Metallic Black (or keep going!). Don’t forget to seal in your design with a great top coat.
This is a great look for summer, but it can also carry you into the fall.
