Saudi Man Sentenced to Beheading for Car Stunt that Killed Two People

A Saudi man was sentenced to beheading after being convicted for drifting and driving.

The man's stunt resulted in the death of two people.

He was participating in a local pastime known as drifting. For those of you who have heard of it, drifting is a sport where drivers hits the brakes while traveling at speed. Think The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift), just a slightly less glamorous.

Officials in Saudi Arabia are treating the drifting deaths as the equivalent of criminally negligent homicide, albeit with a much harsher penalty.

“Drifting” is one of the few forms of entertainment available in the country, where movie theaters don’t exist and unrelated men and women are barred from mingling.

Crazy shit though. I didn't even know that people could be sentenced to beheading.
