The Samsung Galaxy Mega hits store shelves Friday… and will probably cause them to collapse.
The phone is gigantic with a 6.3-inch screen. Need a comparison to get the idea? Apple’s iPhone 5 screen is four inches and the popular Galaxy S4 is five inches. The Galaxy Mega makes both phones look small.
So what’s the point? Samsung is targeting smartphone users that frequently play games and watch movies. Apparently, more users are doing that everyday and Samsung senses a desire for larger screens.
AT&T plans to begin selling the big phone Friday for $150 with a two-year service contract. Sprint and U.S. Cellular will carry the device soon after, according to USA Today.
