Did you love “Sharknado?” Although ratings weren’t very impressive, a lot of people enjoyed the Syfy flick, and just about everyone went nuts about it on Twitter. Well, New Yorkers that saw Los Angeles get hit with a tornado full of sharks better prepare because a similar storm is headed their way.
Syfy announced this week that a “Sharknado” sequel is in the works, and it will take place in the Big Apple.
“Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm — on television,” Syfy Executive Vice President Thomas Vitale said in a statement. “The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel. What we can guarantee is that ‘Sharknado 2′ will be lots of fun. We’ll be announcing more details very soon. But we didn’t want our fans to worry they wouldn’t get their fill of more shark fin, I mean, fun next year,” said Vitale.
The science fiction network is holding a Twitter contest in which the best subtitle for “Sharknado 2″ will be made official. Tweet your subtitle to @SyfyMovies using #Sharknado.
