Against Me! Comes Clean About Lead Singer's Experience Transitioning to Female in New Interview

Members of the band Against Me! are speaking out about lead singer Laura Jane Grace's (nee: Tom Gabel) decision to transition to female in a new interview with MTV.

It is refreshing and enlightening to hear not only Grace's side of the story, but to hear the support from her band members as well. Especially from the band's bass player, Andrew Seward, who said..."We didn't want to make it melodramatic. It was kind of simple in a way. It sounds cheesy, but it's not: You just want your friend to be happy. When this came out, I think the bottom line for all of us was just 'be happy.'"
And happy we hope she is. Grace and Against Me! have given the world a gift with their music, and speaking as a major fan of the band I am happy that she is taking the necessary steps to make the quality of her life that much better.
