Tom Gabel, lead singer of Florida based Pop-Punk band Against Me!, has revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that he plans to begin the process of transitioning from a male to a female.
He is beginning to now live as a woman, and will soon start taking hormones, undergoing electrolysis, along with all the other necessary steps to transition. "I'm going to have embarrassing moments, and that won't be fun. But that's part of what talking to you is about – is hoping people will understand, and hoping they'll be fairly kind."
